Dag Bennstrom was born in NYC, and at the ripe old age of two he moved to Rome Italy, where he grew up. After attending University he moved back to New York and has been there (for the most part) ever since. His interest in photography started when, at age 11, he gave himself the challenge of figuring out how his fathers Leica M4 worked. After surmounting the nebulous mechanics of all the dials and switches, and then being captivated by the powerful vocabulary of the still image, he started out on his journey to explore light and the way that is flows, bends and bounces.

Dag has been at it ever since, and currently works as a full-time freelance photographer.
