It was 1975. Michael J. Cannon was retired and needed something to do so, he accompanied a friend to a community theatre production of The Sound of Music. That one 'astounding' evening inspired a nearly 20-year acting career.

A native New Yorker, Mike's credits include over 80 films, among them, Evil Things, Something Beautiful, Madison Theatre Promo, We Are Souls, and Girls Without Cell Phones.

Of his more than 50 stage credits, he especially enjoyed his very first role, Beauregard, in Mame and his roles in Greater Tuna. In the latter he was required to play 10 parts! He also appeared in Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf, The Bad Seed, Marvin's Room, Love, Sex and the IRS, and Moon for the Misbegotten.
